Bulgaria has a stable population of Golden Eagles. In some places, these majestetic birds can be photographed during winter months from hides from close distance. Emil Enchev is offering workshops from Janaury until March each year.
In order to keep disturbances as low as possible, you will enter the hide very early in the morning. Equiped with food and drinks, you will spend the day in the hide and can, apart from the Golden Eagle, expect to see and photograph also Griffon Vultures and Ravens, so that you will leave the place towards the end of the day with hopefully lots of full memory cards The nearby hotel offers a cosy atmosphere in the evening to review your pictures.

If you are interested to experience a close encounter with the charismatic Dalmatian Pelicans in their spectacular breeding plumage, just let us know, it can be combined with this workshop very well. In addition you can photograph Nutcrackers (no hide needed!), Long-eared Owl and small birds from a garden hide.

Given all these opportunities, the length of this workshop will be agreed upon your desires. Minimum 2 photographers need to sign in for a workshop. If you are planning to travel alone to Bulgaria, we will do our best to find a fellow photographer joining in.
